He possesses extensive global experience and exposure to diverse cultures, which is reflected in his diplomatic professionalism, elaborating pragmatic strategies, promoting sustainable practices and effective change management. Celebrated for new ways of thinking, challenging old ideas, and building mutually benefitting partnerships, he leverages a range of influencing styles in ambiguous and distributed environments but primarily utilizes servant leadership style to maximize business value that has a long lasting impact.
Most recently, he spearheaded the Global Fleet Optimization & Decarbonization strategy as Associate Vice President with Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE:RCL), one of the leading cruise companies in the world with a fleet of 67 ships traveling to approximately 1,000 destinations around the world. He led the Energy, Asset, and Program Management, for all 5 cruise brands under the Group’s Umbrella. He was instrumental in transforming key aspects of the Marine Data, Digitalization & Decarbonization strategy, that will not only continue to save millions of dollars, reduce GHG emissions for the Royal fleet but also propel the group towards its destination “Net-Zero”.
Anshul has a Marine Engineering background (BSc. degree from Tolani Maritime Institute conferred on behalf of Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India). He sailed the world oceans as an engineer officer for over 5 years before he moved to New York to earn a Master’s degree in business administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York.
He then joined Maersk, the world’s leading ocean liner company and did global stints in Singapore, Mumbai, and Copenhagen, where he was responsible for strategizing energy efficiency improvements and emissions reduction of the Maersk Liner fleet.
He has a strong interest in sustainable business operations and fast-track innovation that addresses climate risks. Other than that, his passion lies in cutting-edge technologies, outer space, reading, hiking, and globe-trotting. He lives with his wife in sunny Miami.
