David Samad

Senior manager, Maersk

David is currently a senior manager at Maersk, the world’s largest shipping and integrated transport company.

As a member of the technical innovation team, David is working towards bringing change to the maritime industry through sustainability programs. Most recently, he has released the first decarbonized ocean product, allowing customers to offset carbon emissions through the direct use of biofuels. 

David has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA from INSEAD. Prior experience includes private equity turnarounds, startup fundraising, and global sourcing optimization.
