Based in Detroit, Mr. Claar leads the firm’s specialty chemical/materials practice, which serves leading manufacturers and suppliers on a global basis.
Mr. Claar has more than 35 years’ experience in marketing research and consulting with a focus on technology forecasting, product development, market analysis, customer benchmarking and mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Claar is highly experienced in many specialty chemical segments including Coatings, water treatment, food ingredients/ additives, adhesives and sealants, electronic chemicals, specialty additives, metals, composites and other advanced materials.
Mr. Claar is also active within the Private Equity sector conducting commercial due diligence work as part of an acquisition process or helping portfolio companies with their strategic planning and growth exercises.
